Damai Beach, Kuching

ok, i know someone's smiling because her pictures are going to be posted in this blog, and my traffic flow will increase dramatically? =) Ms Owner, you know who you are. =)

why are all my current posts about holidays, training, etc, of the past? and it was soooo long ago? well, i created this blog, for me to share the pictures, bring back memories, and am doing it because i am bored. so that explains my boring blog. =) you dont like it?you could always leave, and never come back again. am not worried at all. at all. honestly. am doing it because its MY blog, and its free? =)

sometimes, there are things i would like to express but i just cant find the perfect words. till i find the word, you'll have to wait. just like me.

so back to the title. it was during may 06 when i was back in kuching for a study break. i dont remember the occasion. maybe it was just a get away, bake in the sun, have fun random holiday. =) how random. damai beach has the 'nicest' beach in kuching area and it has always been the perfect, ideal getaway from the busy city life in kuching since generations ago. the colour of the sea isnt as pretty as those compared to redang, perhentian, or beaches in kk but, at least we have some place to bake! i like been baked. damai beach is a little like Port Dickson. muddy coloured sea. so boring. no naked ladies too. =(
so we got there in 2 or 3 cars. couldnt remember. bad memory. checked in to the chalet, headed straight to the swimming pool than beach than ill let the pictures do the talking. im lost with words. someone is distracting me.i cant think. his name is edwin wong. now you happy, mr wong? im sure your so happy there, in singapore! =)

Bubu Long Island Beach

i find blogging quite addictive, i dont know why. just finished 2 posts last night and since i had to wake up early to send brothers to school, im awake and hence, updating again while i can. my posts are very random. currently, its about what i have done during my 4 years of studies in kl and places i managed to explore. this post here is about our holiday after we finished advanced diploma in taylors. 27th march 06. so, this is how it all went. Adrian and i, wanted to go to the beach again because, we love the beach! so we came up with the idea, instead of just a handful of people going, might as well try bring as many friends as possible. the more the merrier right? not really. imagine yourself a kindergarten teacher, bringing the little kids to the zoo. same case scenario. nah, just kidding! it was fun. no seriously it was! =) we (vicki,adrian & i, jennifer didnt continue advanced diploma hence we became the 3 retards) did some research on nice island or beaches with affordable prices. Bubu Long Island Beach was the most affordable. RM400, including transport from sunway- kota bahru jetty - bubu island - jetty - sunway, accommodation for 3days 2 nights, food (breakfast, lunch AND dinner), water activities. try finding a tour package that cheap! seriously it was worth every ringgit spent.
we ended up having a VIP coach all to ourselves because we had around 30 advanced diploma in hotel management students going on a holiday. we left sunway at 10pm by bus, 8hours later, we had breakfast in kota bahru, near the jetty. wow. fun eh? =) anyone wants to go to the beach?

The motel next door. Bubu is the ONLY 'hotel' on perhentian kecil island and the cleanest. my personal opinion. =)

we took up 9 rooms if am not mistaken.

We hiked about 30mins over the hill to the other side of the island to see the sun set. when we reached, we were UPSET because there the sun was shy. =/

some fisherman caught this and sold it to the resort for us to bbq that night!

bbq that night. the dude in black was the GM during the day. cooks during the night. now this is what i call multi-tasking! the lady cleaned our rooms and toilet the next day.

what everyone had. little you say? try going for 8 rounds. it was unlimited. they gave us small portions at first to make sure everyone had something at least. there was also fried rice, fried noodle, chicken curry, fresh fruits. buffet, u know?

after bbq, we were entertained by these angmo chabos who learned this. i dont know what you call it. but, its a fireball on chains and they swing it round n round to make something nice like the picture. fast. very fast. get it? so, i tried to do it with a stick.

i failed. big time.

we had some alcohol to drown our sorrows. no pictues. next day, i was forced to wake up at 8am to have breakfast than 1 full day of snorkeling. we went to see pretty fishes, scary sharks, coral and drink lots of sea water. i can swim, if you're wondering. =)

after a hectic day under the sun, burned, what other way than to pamper myself for 45 mins and pay something like rm50. no pictures of me during the massage. thank you.

went to sleep after that and again forced to wake up at 8am. sometimes i hate holidays with activities but, if you sleep too much on a holiday, you miss out too many activities. right?
